TEMPLE, Texas (June 25, 2026) — Youth Peace & Justice Foundation, formerly known as The Uvalde Foundation For Kids, announced today the Memorial Walk for Kerrville Flood Victims: Lives, Legacy & Recovery Journey, a 10-day remembrance walk scheduled to begin July 4, 2026, in Temple, Texas, and conclude in Kerrville, Texas.


The event is a non-competitive, long-distance memorial walk honoring individuals who died in the 2025 Kerrville-area flooding disaster and recognizing families and communities engaged in ongoing recovery efforts across Central Texas.


Organizers said the walk is intended to provide a public space for remembrance and reflection while highlighting long-term recovery needs in affected communities.


The route spans approximately 155–175 miles across Central Texas, traveling through Temple, Belton, Salado, Jarrell, Georgetown, Florence, Burnet, Marble Falls, Johnson City, Fredericksburg, and Kerrville.
