Minneapolis: Nonprofit Continues Financial Support Of Annunciation Shooting Victims

Central Texas Based Nonprofit Donates $1,000 In Honor Of Fletcher Merkel, Lost To Annunciation Church Shooting: Continues Fundraising Efforts

The Uvalde Foundation For Kids, national nonprofit, based on Central Texas; formed in response to the May 2022, Robb Elementary School shooting, announced in an update early Wednesday morning, that it continues to distribute funding raised through its national campaigns to aid victims of the tragic Annunciation Church School shooting, specifically the families of Harper Moyski and Fletcher Merkel.


In its most recent announcement, the foundation noted that it has donated $1,000 to the Annunciation Hope and Healing Fund, in honor of Fletcher Merkel & to directly support the family during this time. This following the foundations previous $2,000 donation directly to the family of Harper Moyski, who also lost their life during the tragic event.


The foundation stated that it will extend its fundraising efforts through September 2025.

In a statement, founder Daniel Chapin noted, "The tragedy of Annunciating will and should never be forgotten. We here at the foundation continue to stand with and mourn alongside our neighbors in Minneapolis particularly those families who lost their precious children that day. Yet, we also find hope in the courage and bravery of a community, an entire nation would do well to emulate. We understand the healing and recovery process will take time.. We remain committed to our efforts as long as needed."
