Uvalde Nonprofit Formed After 2022 Texas Massacre Plants 3 Trees In Memory Of Harper Moyski

Ahead of a planned Sunday, September 14, 2025 celebration of life service for Annunciation Shooting victim, Harper Moyski, the Uvalde Foundation For Kids, nonprofit formed after the May 2022 mass shooting in Uvalde, Texas; has planted a small grove of 3 trees in honor and memory of the child lost to the tragedy.

Foundation officials noted that the family and Harper had a special love of National Forests and had planned to visit all of them Nationally prior to Harper's graduation.

Danel Chapin, with the foundation, noted in an update, Saturday afternoon, "This grove is a small dedication, which will literally grow through history, to who Harper was and furthermore, it will remain for years a testimony of the daunting challenge our young people in America face today in the face of gun violence. Harper did not have to die. More will, unless change is made now. No more rhetoric."

The foundation had previously noted it's ongoing frustration with city and state officials as it continues to try to push a new legislative proposal drafted, named after both victims of the tragic shooting. The proposal includes a ban on assault weapons and magazines with provisions for addressing mental health.

While this is ongoing, the foundation says it will continue its push and moreso it's support for those lost and those deeply affected by the event.

The foundations tree memorial was provided in partnership with the Cremation Society Of Minnesota and overseen by State Park Officials.

The foundation is encouraging others to join in adding to the tree memorial in honor of Harper by visiting:
