Central Texas Nonprofit Makes Second Round Of Donations For Kerr County Flood Relief/Continues Efforts For Flooding Relief

The Uvalde Foundation For Kids, national nonprofit, based on Central Texas; formed in response to the May 2022, Robb Elementary School shooting, announced in an update early Sunday afternoon that it has made it's second round of what it noted will be several ongoing donations to aid victims of the tragic, July 4th flooding in Central Texas. 


The foundation initially donated $2,000 to the Kerr County Community Fund (Flood Relief Fund) in July and announced it's most recent $2,000 donation to the Hill Country Camp Recovery Fund; bringing the total monetary donations, by the charity group, to $4,000.


This the result of the foundations ongoing national fundraiser, to aide those affected by the tragic flooding, which left a community, state & nation daunted beyond measure. 

The foundation noted in the updated release, Sunday that it continues to split a portion of all funds it receives through its fundraiser, expected to continue through August 2025 between the Kerr County Community funds it supports, specific to flood relief; with remaining donations received to be held in a foundation fund, meant to provide immediate aide to those directly affected by the flooding throughout Central Texas.

To present the foundation has distributed over $1500.00 in direct aide to victims in the form of temporary housing, utility assistance & aide for basic living expenses. 

The foundation's established mental health crisis support team, composed of mental health professionals who volunteer their services through the foundation; have logged over 200 hours in pro bono crisis counseling. 


In a statement, founder Daniel Chapin noted, "The tragedy of July 4th will and should never be forgotten. We here at the foundation continue to stand with and mourn alongside our neighbors in Kerr County. Yet, we also find hope in the courage and bravery of a community, an entire nation would do well to emulate. We understand the healing and recovery process will take time.. We remain committed to our efforts as long as needed."


The foundations Sunday, release, noted, additionally that it continues to collect and distribute supplies received from partners nationwide to Kerr County/Saba County/Bexar County, with some supplies aiding local Central Texas organizations efforts such as the Central Texas Diaper Bank & Foster Love Bell County..
