The Uvalde Foundation for Kids Announces Launch of its 4th Annual, "Trees of Hope" Christmas Tree Giveaway for Texas Families

TEMPLE, TX – September 24, 2025 – The Uvalde Foundation for Kids today announced the launch of its 4th Annual "Trees of Hope" initiative, a Christmas tree giveaway aimed at bringing holiday joy to deserving families across Texas. This year, the foundation will ship live, undecorated Christmas trees directly to the homes of selected households, with a special focus on the Central Texas region.

The "Trees of Hope" program is designed to recognize and reward families who have a student excelling in school, demonstrating positive community engagement, and facing economic need. Nominations to receive a tree will begin today, September 24, 2025, and will end on December 1, 2025.

The 'Trees of Hope' initiative is more than just a tree giveaway; it's a testament to the resilience and strength of Texas communities," said Daniel Chapin, Founder of the Uvalde Foundation for Kids. "By providing these live trees, we are giving families the opportunity to come together, create new memories, and find a sense of peace and joy during the holidays. It's a way for us to honor and celebrate our students who are doing amazing things, both in the classroom and in their communities, while reminding them that they are seen, valued, and supported."

Each selected family will receive a live, fresh-cut Christmas tree, a tree stand, and care instructions to help them nurture their new holiday centerpiece. This year, in an effort to further support and inspire students, each recipient household will also receive a special fully stocked backpack for each child, containing the foundation's newly released "Peace Journal For Students," a gift card, and a special pen pal holiday note from a foundation student "Pen Pal."

This exciting addition aims to provide educational tools and a personal touch of connection during the festive season.

This change in format from previous years allows the foundation to reach a wider audience across the state of Texas.

The annual project is made possible through the generosity of individuals, groups, and corporate donors. Donations are crucial to the continuation of this annual project, which provides hope and happiness to homes during the Christmas season.

Recipient Nominations can be made exclusively via the foundation's official website. Inquiries and applications can also be submitted to the foundation's email address: uvaldefoundationforkids@gmail.com.
