Uvalde Foundation for Kids Has Star Named In Honor Of Missing Camp Mystic Victim, Cile Steward
September 6, 2025 – The Uvalde Foundation for Kids today announced that in honor of Cile Steward, still missing from the tragic Kerr County Flood, it has partnered with the International Star Registry Out Of Europe, to have a star named after the young girl lost during the tragedy. All campers have been found, but Cile.
The foundation initially launched a massive nationwide campaign to aide following the tragedy, raising thousands of dollars for victims, while also partnering with national organizations such as FarmLink, to provide over 3 tons of emergency supplies to area victims, following the devastating event:
The foundation noted that from Kerr County, Texas as of the date of the updated release, "Cile," star will be able to be seen at the coordinates listed within the release.
Foundation founder, Daniel Chapin stated in the release, "Now when we look up at the night sky each night, look to the coordinates and assuredly you will find, Cile burning bright. We will not forget her and to us she will never be lost. As her star now burns forever, so will she in the hearts and actions of Texans and a nation forever. Shine bright young lady."
